A Medieval lead Boy Bishop token. It is in porr condition and bent up at right angles. The obverse is obscured, but most resembles Rigold VII Bury series. It measures 22.87mm in diameter and weighs 7.38g.

Lead-alloy boy-bishop token dating from the late medieval period, i.e. c. AD1300-1600, commemorating the yearly election of a 'boy bishop' who would 'hold office' from Dec 6th to Dec 28th. The token is very similar to size and lay-out of silver groats of the 15th century. The obverse of the token depicts a bishop with mitre with a letter (illegible, possibly a Greek Omega) to the right and left of the bust. The inscription reads [SAN]CTE.NIMOLAE.[ORA.PRO.NOB].
