An incomplete medieval silver half-groat posthumous issue of Henry VIII struck by Edward VI dating to the period AD 1547-1551. Obverse depicts a crowned bearded bust three quarter facing. Reverse depicts a long cross over a royal shield. The coin is misshapen and missing the bottom edge of the obverse. North 1882

A silver penny of Henry VII dating to AD 1485-1509. Obverse depicts the king enthroned holding orb and sceptre with one pillar to the throne. Reverse depicts a royal shield over long cross which divides the legend and keys on either side of the bottom of the shield. Mint of York under Archbishop Rotherham. Uncertain initial mark. North 1728 (North, JJ, 1991, English Hammered Coinage Volume 2, Spink & Son, London p 103, no 1728).
