A cast copper alloy strap fitting of 13th or 14th century date. Traces of gilding remain. The fitting comprises a U-shaped strip whose fold is rounded and expanded, and which narrows in plan view. The two plates thus formed are are pierced by two rivets each with a rounded head. The fitting is probably intended for a wooden board or a thick leather strip. There are traces of gilding and enamel on one side. Egan and Pritchard (1991: 155-6) illustrate a very similar example, no. 728, which they suggest may be a strap end, from a late 13th to early 14th century context. It seems more …

A copper-alloy double-sided coin weight of Post-Medieval date 1580 or 1589 probably for weighing a Hungarian Angel. It is rectangular in form and section with uneven edges. Medieval copper-alloy lozengiform horse-harness pendant. There is no loop at the top; one corner is broken off, and it is likely that it was originally hinged at the side, with the loop now missing. A series of closely and unevenly set circular dents cover the sides, leaving a plain circular area around the crown.. The drilled pits begin at the top and continue in a continuous spiral to the base in a regular manner. It is possible that the thimble could be an open type as the top is missing.
