Copper alloy artefact found in a hoard from Wickhambrook, Suffolk (IARCH-2558F2). Possibly a furniture fitting or decorative mount in the form of a bird.
Robertson 2000, 251 no. 1045:
""The enclosed Roman fibula and coins were ploughed up in a field called 'Four Acre Honeycoomb' belonging to the Lodge Farm, in the parish of Wickham Brooke, about a mile from the fortifications at Lidgate in Suffolk. ...Likewise at the same time was found a cast in brass which I presume was intended to represent an eagle, or a hawk; whether an ornament, or a culinary vessel, is uncertain."

The soil immediately around the coins was dark brown colour, suggestive of organic staining, as opposed to the pale orange-brown fill of the ditch. No obvious evidence for a container was noted although the shape of the group could suggest a bag/purse or similar
