A fragment of a cast copper-alloy strap fitting (swivel) of medieval date (c.1066-1400).
Description: The object remains as one of the zoomorphic terminals and a section of its loop. A stub of the bar projects from the animal's mouth. The animal head is moulded and symmetrical on both sides. It has multiple, deep incised grooves indicating eyes, a snout and low ears which project slightly. Description: The object has an oval body, narrowing at each end to arms which end in rounded terminals, only one of which remains. It is D shaped in cross-section with five ridges formed by grooving on the central lobe. These have diagonal scores giving a cross-hatched appearence in places. Description: The frame consists of a sub-oval loop, the edges of which are scalloped with nine lobes, and an integral rectangular attachment loop. The inside edge of the oval loop is perforated with as circular hole through which a copper-alloy pin is wrapped.

An incomplete gold finger ring (Henig II/ Guiraud type 2A) of Roman date (c. 43-200).
Description: The ring is broken at the narrowest part of the hoop, opposite the bezel, and is misshapen. The hoop is pointed oval in cross section, thickening and widening gradually towards the shoulders which merge to create the bezel. The bezel has an oval recess for a now missing setting. The surface of the ring is textured by rippling in the gold as well as scuffing and scratching.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) cruciform brooch, dating to AD 500-600. The object retains its head plate and bow, but it is missing it's pin and most of the mechanism on the back.
The brooch includes a cruciform head with an attached knop at the top and two short arms on either side, around a central square. Each side arm is decorated with three vertical, incised grooves. The square plate remains undecorated. The bow also has three vertical grooves running down the middle.

A near complete, lead or lead alloy, Medieval ampulla, dating to c. AD 1300-1500. The object consists of a flattened bulb like vessel with a single wide mouth opening at the top and two attachment loops on either side. One face of the ampulla has a heart within a square, possibly with a crown above. On the other face is a flower design made of four petals, in the orientation of a cross. The lip of the object has been slightly damaged.

Description: A fragment of a copper-alloy late Bronze Age socketed axehead dating to c. 1000-800BC. This fragment represents the lower blade end of the axe. It is sub-square in plan and wedge shaped in profile. When viewed in plan the sides of the body are fairly straight with little expansion. The axe blade shows signs of wear with corrosion and scratch marks visible on all sides.

An incomplete, medieval large copper-alloy annular double looped buckle frame, dating to c AD 1400-1500. The frame is circular in plan and D-shaped in cross-section with a flat reverse and convex outer surface. A central axis bar runs down the middle of the frame which is trapazoidal in cross section. The outside edges of the buckle are bevelled and decorated with alternating raised and sunken panels around the inner and outer edge of the frame. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The surface is tinned.
