The use of FL (for flavius) and AVG in the obverse legend is unusual and contradictory and may suggest a copy. The size and design of the coin is however very good. An incomplete copy of a nummus. The reverse type which the copiest was attempting is unclear, it has the emperor standing holding a spear or standard in the right hand and the left hand outstretched. The end of the left arm is lost so it could have been holding an orb, a victory or dragging a captive. They do not appear to have attempted an inscription on the obverse or reverse. About 10% is missing from one side due to an old break.

A possible copy of a Constantinopolis nummus. The inscription on the obverse is missing but this could be because it was clipped off a genuine coin or because it was missed off by a copiest to fit the image on a smaller flan. The degree and form of the wear may suggest the copiest produced a die from a genuine, worn nummus.
