A copper-alloy Roman nummus of Theodosius I (AD 379-395), dating to the period c. AD 379-383 (Reece Period 20). CONCOR-DIA AVGGG reverse type depicting Constantinopolis turreted(?), seated facing on throne, head right(?), right foot on prow, holding spear in right hand and resting left hand on knee. Unclear mint. Cf. RIC IX, p.26, no. 67 for hte type at Trier; RIC IX, p.126, no. 45b for the type at Rome; for the Eastern mints cf. for example RIC IX, p. 182, no. 38 passim.

Worn Roman copper-alloy nummus, possibly of Magnus Maximus (AD 383-8), dating to AD 383-7 (Reece Period 20), VOT V MVLT X in wreath. Mint of Lyon. LRBC p. 53, cf. no. 384. This coin was originally attributed to Jovian, but the description given really only fits for Magnus Maximus. Only examination of the coin could provide a certain identification.
