A copper-alloy Roman nummus. Virtus Augg NN type, struck for the House of Constantine in the period AD 337-40 at the Rome mint. Obverse is laureate (with rosettes) and cuirassed bust right. Reverse is soldier standing left, holding shield and spear. Officina II. Diameter 17.84mm, 1.91g.

A copper-alloy Roman nummus of Constantine II (AD 317-340), dating to the period AD 326 (Reece period 16). CONSTAN/TINVS/IVN NOB C reverse type depicting hte legend over three lines, a wreath above. Probably mint of Rome. Cf. RIC VII, p. 329, no. 282, although with right instead of left facing bust.
