A fragment of a copper alloy late Iron Age to Roman rosette brooch. Only a fragment of the rosette section and the lower end of the bow survive. The rosette fragment is sub-triangular in shape with damage and corrosion obscuring its original form and and decoration. The rosette brooches were primarily in use during the middle decades of the first century AD, with Mackreth's (2011, vo.I) re-dating of the King Harry Lane material suggesting that some variants may have been in use even earlier from the end of the 1st century BC.
