A fragment of a copper-alloy Girdle Hanger or symbolic key dating to the Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) period, c. 480-570AD. The bottom of the shaft and part of E-shaped terminal are preserved. It is decorated with transverse grooves and ring and dot motif. It is a Felder type B2f, inclined upward closed terminal frame with plain prong ends.  This is an Early Anglo-Saxon girdle hanger, an object typically found in burial contexts associated with women. A fragment of a copper-alloy disc of Medieval date 8th-9th century. All that remains is a quarter of the disc, which has cruciform arms and a chip-carved counter-relief interlace is net-like and occasionally expands to form small triangles. The interlace is abstract, with no animal elements identifiable, but there is evidence of gilding. The reverse is undecorated and has corrosion. The catchplate and pin are missing. A fragment of a copper-alloy Ansate brooch dating to 700-1000AD.  All that remains is a flattened circular terminal with incised circular border that contains a cross-shaped motif. It is encrusted with iron corrosion, and to the reverse has the remains of an iron pin. A fragment of a copper-alloy late early medieval, or Viking Age, cheekpiece, cheekpieces were worn in pairs and each is pierced with a round hole through which the ends of the jointed iron bit projected.  Only a fragment of the flat plate and of the central hole survives as well as the knob which originally was at the base of a loop, the latter is now missing. In section, the arm end is bent out shape at a 90 degree angle to the loop. The loop is circular and contains the remains of a complete wire suspension loop. An incomplete Roman-Medieval cast copper-alloy pin, c.AD 100-1500. This pin consists of a round-sectioned shank that tapers to a point and is bent over 90 degrees. The head of the pin head is has moulded decoration, consisting of a rectangular section with a rounded knop. Similar pins to this have an additional knop to finish the head, but these are missing here. The pin has a mottled dark green patina.

An incomplete Early Medieval copper-alloy pin dating to circa AD 800-850. It consists of a biconical head with median circumferential band. The shank is circular sectioned and terminates in an old break. There is no collar at the junction of the head and shank.  It is consistent with Flixborough Type 3 biconical head type, with examples with median bands and no collars noted at numbers 321 and 361 (Evans and Loveluck et al 2009: 44.

An incomplete Early Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) copper-alloy harness link/strap distributor dating to circa AD 1000-1100. It is cross shaped containing four plano-convex arms set around a raised central, circular boss. The boss is hollow. The arms are rectangular in plan with an oval loop terminal the outer edge of which has three moulded knops. An incomplete Early Medieval copper-alloy pin dating to circa AD 700 - 900. The pin has an oval in plan and rectangular in section head with five ring-and-dot decorated stamped in a lozenge-shape and including a central ring and dot. The reverse is undecorated. It terminates in an old break before reaching the stem/. It has a dark brown patina.  The type is recorded by Haldenby (2012, 3). Comparable examples, with variable arrangements of ring-and-dot decoration are recorded on the PAS database, such as DUR-9B661C and FAKL-00A524.

An incomplete early medieval (late Anglo-Saxon) to medievval gilded copper-alloy disc-brooch with cloisonné glass inlay. The object consists of a central disc-shaped base plate with a separate beaded strip soldered onto the lower edge of the circumfereence to create a decorative flange or collar. Traces of gilding can be seen in places within the beading on this and on the reverse of the base plate. The upper face of the base plate has a double raised rim around its outer edge creating a central recess within which four strips of wire are arranged to create cells for inlay.…

A fragment of a copper-alloy, silver and niello early medieval (late Anglo-Saxon) zoomorphic strap end. The fragment consists of the central section of the strap end with the rear half of the horizontally bifurcated upper attachment end. The outer part of the attachment end and the lower terminal end are both missing. The surviving central section is damaged and corroded, but areas of two parallel, longitudinal panels decorated with traces of niello and silver wire inlay survive. A complete Early Medievlal probable copper-alloy mount dating to circa AD 500-600. It is rectangular in plan and section. The front face contains two conjoined beasts facing away from each other. They have large circular heads, robust feet with large claws. The design is possibly rendered in the Salin 1 style. Significant trace sof gilding cover the front face. In one corner, beneath the outer border is a small circular perforation 1mm in diameter. A fragment of an Early Medieval probable Great Square Headed brooch dating to circa 500-570 AD. The extant element consits of a roughly half of the inner panel of the head plate.It is rectangular in plan and section. The front face contains chip-carved decoration set inside a surrounding chip-carved border. The chip-carved decoration is possibly zoomorphic or otherwise representative of interlaced bands, although not enough of the design survives to be certain.
