A silver Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) sceat, dating to AD 710-765. Obverse depicting a degenerate radiate bust right, runic legend [G]PA, large V and pellets behind, pyramidical neck rests on beaded exergual lines. Reverse depicting saltire pommee within beaded standard with three pellets in each angle; In margins a V between two annulets, a line of annulets and an inverted V among a pellet and two annulets. Cf Abramson (2006, p. 97, cf with sub-group 7, saltire standard, variety 1e, R/type).

Silver penny of Eadmund of East Anglia (855-870), moneyer Dudda, likely Ipswich mint, North 460. Only one other example is recorded on the EMC (1002.0423). This coin is different to that one in it's reverse inscription (only a slight variation) and the design pattern in the central field, with more than one pellet in the angles of the cross (John Naylor pers comm).
