A patinated flint core of possible Upper Palaeolithic date. It is triangular in section, semi-circular in form and incomplete due to old breaks. The proximal end retains its cortex, and one face has vertical flake or blade removal, perhaps with limited edge retouch at the distal end. The entire object measures 32.95mm in length, 62.69mm in width, 29.07mm in thickness and 59.72g in weight. This core is of possible Upper Palaeolithic date, c.40,000-10,000 BC, although a slightly earlier or later date range cannot be ruled out entirely.
