Iron Age silver large flan deeply-dished unit, of John Talbot LFC groups (Groups 1/2?). Early face-horse type, uninscribed East Anglian. Worn. John Talbot comments: I have re-looked at this coin and have now worked out that the obverse die is C - therefore it is a well known die link C 2 within the LFC group. You need to revolve the obverse image by about 210 degrees clockwise to make sense of it.

Recent work (Talbot 2006, in BAR Int Ser 1532, Celtic Coinage: New discoveries, new discussion, ed P de Jersey) separates three groups in the large flan C type, this eg seems to fall within his group 3, particularly reverse die 15. The type is mainly found in west Norfolk and NW Suffolk. Worn, with some damage to obverse.
