Iron Age silver East Anglian Unit. The obverse shows two opposed crescents and two pellets inside a hexagon, three parallel lines from one side of the hexagon and pellets in the field around it. The reverse shows a stylised horse facing right, an ear of corn and three pellets above, a row of three pellets under the horse's belly and two pellets below its head.
The design corresponds to that on later East Anglian inscribed units (eg. Hobbs 4179, plate 128) but no inscription is visible on this coin.
