Philip de Jersey comments: Despite its rather unattractive appearance, this is an extremely interesting coin. It is only the third known example of a very late silver unit of Cunobelin, which I included in the article on Cunobelin's silver in Britannia 32 (2001).
It is type F5 in there. As well as the example I listed (and illustrated) I have seen another one since, but they are the only others I know of. As such it is just the sort of thing that the BM (if they had any money) or a local museum ought to snap up, given the opportunity. I suspect it might clean up quite well. Given …
