A complete silver Iron Age East Anglian Unit c.AD 10-40. 'Norfolk God' type. Haselgrove/Rudd Phase 8.
Rudd writes 'the head an corn-ear were inspired by a Roman denarius of L.Roscius Fabatus, c.64 BC (Crawford 412/1). However, the styling of the hair and face, especially the mouth, may be derived from an early silver unit of Cunobelinus [ABC 2855]. If so, this would indicate that the Norfolk God type was issued no earlier than c.AD 10-15' (2010, 84).
