An extemely worn and heavily clipped Medieval silver penny dating to the period c.AD 1279-1500. The obverse and reverse of the coin are both mostly illegible, a portion of the reverse showing a part of a cross with trefoil of pellets in the angles of each arm which provides a broad date for the coin. The level of wear and heavy clipping might suggest the coin belongs later in the sequence of issue, somewhere in the 15th century, but this is not certain.
