An incomplete early-medieval silver penny of Edmund of East Anglia (855-69), early variety (dating c. AD855-62), moneyer: Twicga (Naismith E60.1; North 462), mint: East Anglia (Ipswich?). Ref: Naismith 2011: pl. 98-9 nos E60.1a-s. The coin is chipped around approximately half of the outer edge, removing the beaded outer circle but not the inscription. The surface of both obverse and reverse shows some spots of green copper corrosion. The coin shows evidence of being double-struck. This record is an administrative error duplicate of SF-C21281. This will be resolved shortly.

Silver penny of Eadmund of East Anglia (855-870), moneyer Dudda, likely Ipswich mint, North 460. Only one other example is recorded on the EMC (1002.0423). This coin is different to that one in it's reverse inscription (only a slight variation) and the design pattern in the central field, with more than one pellet in the angles of the cross (John Naylor pers comm).
