A damaged and very worn medieval silver halfpenny or penny of long cross type, not further defined, dating to AD1279-c.1500 (Edward I - Henry VII). The coin is in very poor condition, missing parts of the outer edge and the design almost entirely illegible. The only element of the design which survives is part of the reverse showing a long cross dividing the inscription with pellets in each quarter. The inscriptions are illegible. The diameter of the coin (16 mm) suggests the coin is either a halfpenny of Edward I-III (1279-1351) or a later penny (probably Edward IV onwards). The weig…
