A silver hammered penny struck for Eadgar as King of all England, dating c. 959-972. 'Early Portrait' type, pre-reform coinage, moneyer Folchard at uncertain East-Anglian mint. Obverse: crowned bust right, +EADGAR REX (legend starting at c. 8 o'clock). Reverse: small cross pattee within solid inner border, +FOLCHARD MONETA. North vol. I, p. 110, no. 750. BMC V. This coin is the first of this moneyer to be recorded on the PAS database. It has been recorded on the EMC as 2017.0244.

An incomplete silver hammered penny struck for Harold I of England, 'jewel cross' type dating c. 1036-1038. Moneyer uncertain, mint of London. North no. 802. The name of the moneyer on this coin ends with the letter 'C', though this is not particularly diagnostic as there are at least five known moneyers working at the London mint with this letter as the last of their names. This coin has been recorded on the EMC as 2017.0245.
