An incomplete Iron Age to Roman copper-alloy toggle dating to circa 50 BC-AD 100. Cast in one piece, it is comprised of opposed globular terminals set either side of a central rectangular-sectioned shank which terminates in a now incomplete suspension loop.  It is consistent with other examples referred to as dumbell toggles recorded on the database under KENT-47FE83 and SWYOR-F6D5C0 with similar examples depicted in Read 2005: 5-6.  Length: 17.6mm; Width: 18.8mm; Thickness: 5.2mm; Weight: 5.55g.

A complete Iron Age to Roman copper-alloy toggle dating to circa 50 BC-AD 100. It has a broadly cylindrical body with two median bulges protruding from one side. The reverse of the bulges is open and carries a horizontal, D-shaped in section, suspension loop. Each end of the toggle is flat and discoidal. The toggle is similar in form to Read 2010: pg 5-6, nos 9-12 dating to the Late Iron Age and early Roman period. Length: 25.3mm; Width:: 12.8mm; Diameter: 10.1mm; Weight: 12.47g.

It consists of a sub-rectangular loop-frame, which has concave sides and four semi-oval cross-sectioned knops at each outer corners. Where the frame meets the knops there is a circumferential groove; even though the frame tends to expand at the corners, it results thinner than the knop itself. A complete copper alloy late Iron Age to Roman looped toggle. The main body of the toggle is formed of two moulded ovoids joined at the centre, creating a broadly cylindrical shape. Where the two ovoids join they create a double bulb on the underside and a recessed v-shape on both sides. In the centre of each v-shape is a raised ring for decoration. It is of the dumbell type comprising two globular hemispherical terminals, each with a raised collar around their inner end, joined by a waisted central circular shaft. The surface of the metal is heavily corroded. These objects were presumably used as strap fittings and date from the 1st to 3rd century AD.
