The stone is micaceous sandstone and has been worked to a near-spherical form. There is a flat area with a central indentation. This may have been used as a base, indicating that it may have been used as a decorative architectural feature, of post medieval to modern date. It is also possible that it may have been used as shot from a gun with a 3.5 inch bore. Stone shot was sometimes used before iron shot was introduced in the 17th century

A small figurine of an androgynous figure with splayed bent legs, clutching what looks likes reins. The figure has a loop on its head, as if to be hung from a cord. The body is very well defined, particularly the face, legs and buttocks. The figurine is pale brown in colour with specks of green patination in places.

Incomplete Copper Alloy object. Possibly a brooch or a clasp. The object has a flat leaf like shape, which appears to be broken at its pointed end; there is a small circular perforation at its base on its obverse side. The base tapers into a ‘stalk’ which then curls back on itself. The reverse of the object is plain and undecorated, but the perforation is clear. The object has a green and brown patina and has a rough and uneven texture. The object weighs 6.3g and is 51.97mm length and 22.70mm in width tapering to 12.41mm at its pointed end. It’s exact date and function is unknown.

Two Copper Alloy Roses, possibly brooches? (Unsure if a pair, or if there are several). Each rose has 5 large outer petals; between each, is a small leaf, and then 5 smaller inner petals. Glass bead which is Blue in colour, it has a rough finish, which may be due to age and condition. The bead has a hole that goes through the centre, but goes through diagonally and not straight. There is a small ball of clear glass attached to the top of the bead, which as another hole but does not appear to pierce completely through the bead. This bead is of uncertain date. The bead weighs 2.6g and is 17mm across.

Derivative trumpet-headed brooch of the disc and trumpet type. The bilateral, six coil, spring is accommodated in a recessed hollow set in the rear of the head while the axis bar is held in place by two perforated lugs on either side of the head (type N cf. Romano-British, copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch of the Polden Hills type. The brooch contains a bilateral spring of ten coils whose overhead chord is held in place by a simple rearward-facing hook. A copper alloy axis bar passes through the coils of the spring and is held by pierced circular plates at the ends of the wings (cf. Type L Hattatt 1982, 49, table 2). Both loops are missing and the terret is represented by a portion of the saddle-shaped 'skirt' and the pedestal beneath the upper loop. Roman copper alloy bow brooch of Dolphin or Polden Hill type and dating to the 1st century AD. The brooch is incomplete, missing the lower bow, the majority of the wings and the spring. The brooch employed a spring mechanism secured by either a rearward claw or a Polden Hill arrangement, since the wing terminals no longer survive it is now difficult to determine which type of arrangement was used. A cast copper alloy stylus of Roman date. It is comprised of a single, rectangular sectioned piece of metal which flares towards a more circular sectioned spatulated terminal at one end and tapers towards a square sectioned terminal at the other. This terminal bears scars of a hole that was drilled through to attach to a cord or belt, but has been broken off. The stylus has a green patina mottled with brown, and is undecorated.
