Lead-alloy spindle whorl, dating from the medieval period (AD1200-1500). The whorl is made up of a central bi-conical body with faint traces of possible moulded decoration. This decoration is very badly worn and it is not possible to determine what form it would have taken. The perforation has an internal diameter of 8.3mm.The surface of the whorl is worn with a powdery white patina. Diameter: 15.93mm; thickness: 16.5mm; weight: 12.4g.

Lead-alloy spindle whorl, dating from the medieval period (AD1200-1500). The whorl is made up of a central bi-conical body with moulded decoration. The decoration on one side has a raised zigzag line creating triangular shapes, some of which contain pellets.The other side comprises a series of raised parallel bars from the central perforation to the outer rim of the whorl.The perforation has an internal diameter of 8.9mm. The surface of the whorl is slightly worn and has a powdery white patina. Diameter: 21.0mm; thickness: 10.9mm; weight: 18.9g.

Fragment of a cast lead alloy (pewter) pot leg from a vessel such as a skillet, ewer or cauldron. The lower part of the leg and a central ridge survive. Pot legs of this type were used during the medieval and post-medieval periods; however, a close parallel, albeit cast in copper alloy, is provided by pot legs recovered from early sixteenth century deposits in Norwich (Margeson 1993, 93, no.565, fig.58). Length (minimum) 33mm, width 22mm, weight 23.0 grams.

Heavily corroded cast lead alloy finger ring, probably of Late Medieval date, c. 15th or 16th century. The internal diameter of the ring is large, suggesting the ring may have been worn over a glove. The hoop appears to be of D-shaped section and expands towards the bezel. The shoulders have two raised moulded ribs, leading to a circular moulded bezel containing a design, appearing to depict a crowned letter ‘W’.

Cast lead alloy button of probable late medieval – post medieval date (1300-1650 AD). The button consists of a circular domed (D sectioned) head, with an integral cast shank set at 90º to the angle of the head. The shank is sub-rectangular in plan and rectangular in cross section with a circular hole (3.1mm diameter) cast through it. The domed head of the button is decorated with a cast pattern. Heraldic object with signs of having been broken off a larger object. It is shield shaped, and bears a coat of arms with the moulded designs of two lions in the top right and bottom left hand quarters, and a band featuring six five petaled flowers running from the top left to the bottom right hand corners. The quarters with the lions has a reddish hue while the quarters with the flower band are more yellow in colour, but much of the colour has been worn away.

Incomplete lead alloy Pilgrim’s Ampulla thought to date to the Medieval period (Approx 1300 – 1530 AD). The body, neck and one arm of the ampulla is intact, but one of the arms has broken off and is missing. The lead at the lip of the neck is folded over slightly. The ampulla has no decoration and has a smooth surface with a white/grey patina. The interior is still filled with soil. The ampulla weighs 43.8g and as a height of 41.13mm and a width of 26.29mm at its neck expanding to 27.29mm at its body.
