Complete silver sixpence of Elizabeth I dating to 1568. The obverse features the crowned bust of Elizabeth I, wearing ruff and embroidered dress facing left, rose behind. Legend around reading 'ELIZABETH:D:G:ANG:FR:ET:HI:REGINA'. The reverse features a square topped, quartered shield over long cross fourchee with date above and coronet minmark, legend around reading ' [mm] POSVI DEV.'AD IVTORE M'MEV.' 1568. Complete Silver sixpence of Elizabeth I dating to 1563? (The 3 is slightly missprinted). The obverse features the crowned bust of Elizabeth I Rose behind, legend around ELIZABETH:D:G:ANG:FR:ET:HI:REGINA, Coronet Minmark (1567-1570). Smaller Flan with inner beaded circle. Possible that the ear is showing, but coin is too worn to know for sure. The reverse is a square topped. quartered shield over long cross fourchee with date above (1563?) and legend around POSVI DEV.'AD IVTORE M'MEV.' crown mintmark. The coin weighs 2.5g and has a diameter of 26.01mm.
