Small Copper Alloy Incomplete Object. Possibly a Belt Plate. Object is flat, and spade like in shape but with a flattened cut off tip (possibly showing a break), at the base are 4 small lugs which appear to be similar to loops for a seperate buckle. Both sides of the object are decorated in small ring and dot decoration. The object is 3.7g in weight, it is 24.77mm in length and 22.22mm in width at its widest point. It is thought that this may date to the 4/5th century AD.

Iron Age copper alloy terret fragment of indeterminate type and probably of 2nd century BC to 1st century AD date The cast fragmentary terret is heavily-corroded and represented by the bar and basal part of the hoop or ring in two fragments and is a comparatively large example (with a surviving length of 92.6mm and a weight of 38.6g (33.6g & 5.0g)). The bar is of trapezoidal section with bevelled sides (with a length of 57.7mm, a width of 7.4mm - 12.8mm and a thickness 5.6mm). The bar is distorted and torn near its centre. Possible Late Iron Age to early Roman copper alloy looped toggle of 1st century BC to 1st century AD date The cast toggle is of biconical form and is incomplete, missing the loop (with a length of 25.4mm and a weight of 18.7g). The terminal are sub-circular (17.8mm x 16.3mm and 16.2mm x 15.0mm). The smaller terminal has a very crudely incised cross and the other terminal has a prominent raised rib, probably a casting seam and corresponds to the seam along the midsection of the toggle. A possible Iron Age gold quarter stater. Diameter 12mm. This coin was recovered from a beach and damage caused by 'wave action' is clearly visible. No pattern survives on one face. On the other there may possibly have been a horse.
