An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman bow brooch of Colchester derivative two piece front-hooked type, dating to the first century AD. The arms are semi-cylindrical with moulded ridges at their ends. There is a spring hook at the front of the head. The bow tapers and curves back from the head, with a plano convex cross section and is decorated with pairs of moulded ridges flanking a ridged spine. The bow tapers to a triangular foot with a small catchplate beneath.

A cast copper alloy toggle clasp or fastener of early post medieval date. The object has a triangular plate decorated with ridges and a scalloped rear edge with two rivet holes. The front end narrows to a ridged collar, from which projects a narrow curved neck with a T-shaped transverse bar on the end. The rear end of the plate has a small blind hole next to one of the rivet holes. The underside of the object has a small integrally cast ovoid projection on the underside of the collar.

A cast copper alloy looped fitting of early post medieval date, possibly a suspension hanger for a sword belt. The object has a a symmetrical (bow-tie shaped) plate with a waisted midsection and flanking triangular projections, each with a central rivet hole infilled with the remains of iron rivets. The margins of the plate are cusped, with trefoil terminal ends and the whole has a slightly curved side profile. From one side of the mid section projects a circular suspension or attachment loop.

The remaining portion comprises a D-shaped loop with three peripheral knops and a stump of a narrow arm with a D-shaped cross section. The object has a flat reverse, with a concave hollow to the rear of the loop.

An incomplete copper alloy pin of early-medieval date (mid Anglo-Saxon, c. AD 700-900). The head is globular with a slightly flattened top and decorated with a twisted and grooved design spiralling around the head (a style known as ‘wrythen-headed'). At the base of the head is a small collar at the top of the shaft, which ends in an old break. Much of the original surface has been lost to corrosion.

An unusual cast copper alloy strap hook or hooked fitting of medieval date. The object has a subrectangular plate with slightly concave sides and a plano convex cross section. This has symmetrical decoration of scrolled forms running along the plate, rendered largely illegible by corrosion but probably intended to represent an elongated beast head. One end has a rounded attachment loop with five projections around the edge. The other end has an incomplete hook. C. later 11th-mid 12th century.

The button is made of tombac (an alloy of mostly copper and zinc with some other elements) with a thin layer of silver fused to the outer surface that is now mostly worn away at the button's center.
