The object terminates in a break at both ends, one across what is likely the 10.4mm wide centre of the buckle frame, the object curves from this point to the other break at the side of the frame. The frame is a single loop D-shaped type (measuring 19.4mm long x 18.1mm wide x 4.1mm thick) with two lobed knops with an oval section constriction/pin rest between them. An incomplete cast copper alloy double looped buckle frame of Post Medieval date (c.17th-18th century AD). The frame is sub-rectangular in plan and plano-convex in profile with rounded corners and ornate outer edges with lips around the pin rest on each side. The central bar retains some of the pin. The reverse is plain and undecorated. The overall dimensions are 36.3mm long, 25.5mm wide, and a max of 6.7mm thick at the centre. The object is a mottled brown and green patina and weighs 7.08g.
