An incomplete clipped, worn and damaged half real coin of Ferdinand V and Isabella I of Spain from the reign of the Reyes Catolicos (1469-1504), Likely issued between 1475 and 1504. The coin is heavily worn, cracked and bent. Uncertain mint, though the mark appears to be an A above a grid, possibly representing a portcullis or a griddle.
Edward Besly of the National Museum and Gallery of Wales has commented on these coins, "As far as I understand, they are very difficult to date because production continued long after their deaths (1516 [F] and 1504 [I]) towards the middle of the…

One side of the flask body has moulded ridges as part of a generic scallop-shell motif; the other appears undecorated. The lack of other decoration prevents attribution to a shrine or cult site. A fragmentary cast copper alloy fragment, possibly of Late Medieval date (c.15th-16th century AD). The fragment is a piece of a rim from a large cauldron measuring 11.6mm long x 7.9mm wide x 27.4mm-25.4mm thick. The rim has a very slightly expanded lip on the inside surface before tapering slightly to the edge and the outer surface is flat with no traces of decoration surviving. Two rivets hold a sheet of copper alloy in place (surviving length 27.1mm, max surviving width 15.6mm) likely repairing a crack on the inside surface of the cauldron. These types of rivets are common in Medieva…

The plate is sub-rectangular in plan and rectangular in section. The obverse is decorated with a moulded border enclosing an incised linework motif, probably representing the monogram ‘ihs’ (abbreviation for Jesus Christ). A cast copper alloy suspension fitting of Medieval to Post Medieval date, possibly from a sword belt (Mark Redknap, Pers. Comm.). The loop is cast in one piece, which has been bent in half so that the two perforations line up to allow a now missing part to pass through. The perforations are through an expanded circular section of the fitting, with simple mouldings on the inner side of each, terminating in simple lobed knops. There is a casting line running centrally along the length of the bar and traces of white metal surface treatment visible. The metal surface is brown in colour and…
