Complete copper alloy Bronze Age unlooped early/primary flanged palstave axehead of Needham's Period 4 Class 5E type (Clifton), c. 1750-1500 BC. The body is sub-triangular in plan with a curved butt and slightly curved body with stop ridge approximately halfway up the body. In profile, the body angle is oval. The cutting edge expands into a convex fantail shape, with in tact curved tips. The object has a dark brown patina with surface abrasion and some pitting. Complete lead object: either a weight or a gaming piece. Hollow, with an irregular pentagon base, tapering to a conical top. Several similar objects have been recorded as gaming pieces, used for playing Hnafetafl or other board games. NLM-C98990 has a similar tapering pentagonal form and NLM-FF0ABB has a similar hollowed base. This object has few diagnostic features, but is probably early Medieval.

Incomplete copper alloy strap end. The attachment loop is missing, but the rest of the strap end is in good condition. Matches Hoss' type H.1.a, (most similar to figures H.130 and H.177), with a flat body. The body takes the form of an elongated, irregular pentagon, with the sides slightly concave. There is no terminal knop. The strap end is 27.44 mm long by 7.9 mm wide and 3 mm thick. It weighs 3.23 g. According to Hoss (p.262), strap ends like this were worn on a range of belt fittings and clasps. Examples date between AD 175 and the late 4th century.

Incomplete, copper enamelled Roman disc brooch (Mackreth British Plate 2.b). The pin is missing and only a small piece of the catch plate is preserved. The two pierced lugs where the pin attached are present but damaged. The flat, circular plate has a raised rim for containing enamel, which is damaged on one side. The six-lobed decorative motif is intact, with traces of red enamel present and a reserved circle in the centre. Late second century.

Incomplete Roman copper alloy brooch of the Aesica type (dating to approximately 43-75 AD). The bow is complete, and part of the catch plate is also preserved, a small fragment of the pin survives at the hinge, along with the bar holding it in place. The bow has two pairs of triangular extensions in the centre and at the foot. These triangular extensions are decorated with grooves that run parallel to the edge, forming closed triangles slightly smaller than the extensions, and there is a smaller triangle between the two central extensions. A cast copper-alloy complete harness fitting of the later Early Medieval period, circa AD 1000-1100. The fitting consists of a rectangular body with a thick collar and circular hoop at one end, and a lozenge-shaped hoop opposite, the lozenge-shape having small knops on the three projecting corners. The fitting is D-shaped in section, with one knop broken from the lozenge-shaped end. Wear on the upper and reverse faces of the outer frame of the circular hoop indicate where attached to a strap.

A cast copper-alloy complete Colchester-derivative two-piece brooch, c. AD 69-100. The brooch is T-shaped in plan, with a cylindrical head to hold the axel and hinged pin. The outer faces of the arms have grooved decoration running vertically. The bow emerges from the centre of the head and tapers to the foot, the lower half of the bow retaining the hooked catchplate emerging from its reverse. A cast copper-alloy incomplete buckle, dating c. 1500-1600. The buckle is double-looped, with a trapezoidal shape in plan and the crossbar offset toward the rectangular end of the buckle. Moust of the outer frame is missing. The frame bears short oval studs emerging evenly across its surface on all faces, accept the short side of the frame where the buckle was attached to a strap or plate.
