An incomplete Post-Medieval cast copper alloy 'fob' seal matrix set with a glass intaglio, dating to the 18th-19th Century.
Description: In plan, the seal is rectangular with rounded corners. The bezel band is decorated by a series of raised chevrons. The reverse is pyramidal in form with concave moulding along the lower edges and a central circular hole at the apex (where the handle would originally have been attached). A Medieval incomplete fragment of a lead-alloy circular seal matrix dating to c.1200-1400.
Approximately half of the circular, flat seal remains. The central motif appears to be a petalled cross, with a circular scribed line separating the totally illegible inscription. The reverse is plain with the remains of a transverse raised fillet.
Diameter 29.9mm, thickness 5.5mm, weight 10.3g.

An incomplete Medieval lead vesica shaped seal matrix dating to c.1200-1400.
Approximately half of the seal remains, comprising of a pointed oval flat plate, with a raised rib on the reverse as a 'finger-pinch' handle. The central motif is uncertain, possibly an arched doorway. A single scribed line separates the motif from the mainly illegible outer inscription that appears to read : S'IOh [ ... ]. The reverse is plain.

An incomplete cast copper alloy pedestal / pendant seal matrix of post medieval date (1550-1700).
The die is circular in plan and the reverse pedestal rises to a tri-lobed perforated suspension loop, the upper lobe is broken. There is no inscription. The design of the seal consists of two main elements; these are a single heart which has been pierced diagonally by two arrows forming a saltire cross. Sub-circular and flat (now very 'crumpled' and edge chipped) The die-face central motif is a six petalled design surrounded by a scribed line circle that separates it from the incomplete inscription that reads: S' R AOVL - - - STOW (possibly RAOVL BRISTOW) The reverse is decorated with an uncertain moulding, possibly floral. An incomplete 'finger-pinch' handle projection is aligned at 12 o'clock to the die-face. The surface displays a drab grey colour.

A 1600-1800 complete copper alloy seal matrix. It exibits a glossy brown/green patina. The handle has 4 hole with 3 slightly differing diameters across the width and 1 larger central loop at the top. The die face is slightly oval at 15mm by 14mm and has a bell centrally with the letters K and S either side. The handle is 15mm wide and 1mm thick. Similar to records YORYM-1885F4 and SUR-A54D54.

Medieval copper alloy seal matrix. It is circular in plan and more or less plano convex in profile. The matrix consists of a central forward facing stags head with cross between antlers surrounded by a circumferal legend reading, +TIMETE DEVM (Fear the Lord). The rear is undecorated. Circular flat plate with an un-pierced projecting lug at 12 o'clock to the die-face. The die-face has a central motif of an incised line straight cross with elongated oval 'petals' bisecting each angle. A fragment of a copper alloy plaque with incuse device, possibly a seal matrix of Medieval date.
The fragment is sub-triangular in plan with a surviving curved outside edge and two worn breaks. One side has a complicated figural device incuse set within a double circumferential border of two rows of stamped pellets, the borders set 6mm apart. The device is damaged, with areas missing but there is a standing figure, only the lower body surviving with folds of drapery to the ankles.
