A lead alloy or pewter finial from a Post Medieval tobacco jar lid dating c. AD 1650-1800. The finial is octofoil with convex petals around a central boss with a beaded border. This is mounted on a circular-sectioned waisted stalk with riveted base. The object measures 20.2mm long, 23.8mm diameter and weighs 19.40 grams. An incomplete Roman cast lead alloy form or model for the manufacture of a two-part Colchester derivative Polden Hill brooch dating AD 80-120. The object is broadly 'T' shape with one short wing. The opposite wing is broken. The top edge of the wings is integral and folded down over the reverse, where it is compressed. The bow extends from the front centre of the wings and tapers to a broken point. There is no clear decoration and the surfaces of the bow, nor on any surface of the brooch. A lead alloy weight of the Roman period. It has been formed by rolling a sub circular flat piece of lead alloy into a cylindrical shape before being compressed. The surfaces have an even light grey patina. Such weights were used over a long period of time, possibly as fishing weights, amongst other applications. Dimensions: It is 31.1mm long, 11.6mm wide, 4.4mm thick and weighs 10.3 grams.

A near complete lead-alloy steelyard weight of the Roman period (AD. 43-410). Description: The weight is bi-conical in form and comprised of an upper and lower hemisphere and a prominent circumference.  At the apex of the upper section is a rectangular iron prong, forming the remains of an iron suspension loop.  This extends through to the lower apex. A complete medieval to post medieval uniface token, dating to c. AD 1400 to 1700. On one side is decorated with a hatching design, in the centre is a raised pellet (Powell type 7). The other side is undecorated. There are two rivet holes with lead rivets contained within them in the centre of the token, on the reverse there is a groove running inbetween them. It's possible that this token has been made into a button.

An incomplete lead Russian bag seal, dating to c. AD 1890s. The seal is oval in shape, and missing part of one edge with a worn break. On one side the inscription reads NE/ PF12/ 189[...] . The opposite side reads AA/EMAP/THHO/61. Running through the seal from one edge to another is a void for attachment. The seal is a brown white colour, and measures 22.7mm in length, 20.3mm in width and weighs 10.70g.

An incomplete lead alloy medieval seal matrix dating to AD 1200-1400. The seal would have originally been pointed oval in shape, only half now remains with a worn break. The face of the seal is completely worn and none of the original design remains. On the reverse is an unpierced lug at the pointed oval. There is raised moulded foliate decoration. The seal is a grey colour, and measures 22.9mm in length, 21.4mm in width, 8.7mm in maximum thickness and weighs 7.50g.

An incomplete lead-alloy token dating to the Medieval to Post Medieval period (c.AD. 1425-1700). Description: the token has a circular flan with a multifoiled edge, part of which is missing.  It has a biface design of a chequred field, which creates six boxes.  Powell Type 7. Similar designs in Mitchener & Skinner (1983): p.143, plate 2, no.76; p.144, plate 3, nos. 84 and 88; p.151, plate 10, no.99.  These designs date from the Late Plantagenet (c.AD. 1425-1490) to Elizabethen (AD.1558-1603) period.

An incomplete lead-alloy (pewter) buckle dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1660-1720). The buckle frame is oval in plan, convex at the front and bevelled on the reverse. An incomplete Medieval lead-alloy seal matrix dating c. AD 1200-1300.The seal is pointed oval (vessica) shaped with an uneven break between 9 and 3 o'clock. Inside an oval-shaped incised border is an incised fleur-de-lis. Surrounding this is a retrograde inscription: '+ S'X[...]IN'. The squashed remains of a suspension loop survive on the reverse. The seal matrix measures 22.8mm in length, 24.5mm in width, 4.9mm in thickness and weighs 9.14 grams.

The object is sub-plano-convex with a circular perforation (11mm diameter) through the centre and rounded outer and inner edges that are uneven and worn. On the upper surface are eight hemispherical and sub-hemispherical knops, all of which are also worn and abraded to varying degrees. There is no decoration on the flat underside. The surface patina is mid grey in colour. The object measures 32.8mm maximum diameter, 6.7mm in thickness and weighs 28.65 grams.

A complete lead-alloy Medieval to Post Medieval pencil dating c. AD 1200-1800. The pencil is circular in cross-section with a rounded faceted point at one end and a flattened face at the other. The shaft tapers gradually from the flattened end to the point. The pencil is undecorated and has a powdery yellowish-white patina. The pencil measures 47.9mm in length, 6.4mm in diameter and weighs 11.04 grams. See LVPL-2505B7 for a similar object recorded on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database.
