An incomplete cast copper-alloy Post Medieval spur fragment dating from AD 1500 to 1650. The spur has a figure-of-eight shaped terminal of two loops with a projecting collar at one end and a broken arm at the opposite end. The arm is plano-convex or sub-triangular in section and tapers towards the neck. The surfaces are not decorated both on the front and reverse. The entire object has a brownish-yellow patina. The spur measures 31mm in length, 11mm in width at the terminal, and is 3.5mm in thickness. It weighs 4.77 grams. For a similar spur recorded on the Portable Antiquities Schem…
