A rim sherd of Roman coarseware, possibly from a jar of Black Burnished ware (c. AD 100-410). The fabric is dark brownish-grey to black with a light brownish-grey core and abundant coarse sandy/grit inclusions (<0.4mm). The rim is everted and 7.35mm thick. Part of the body remains beneath the rim. One side of the sherd is clearly burnished. All breaks are worn.   Overall dimensions: 24.32mm in length, 45.02mm in width, 11.64mm in thickness and 12.04g in weight.

An incomplete enamelled copper alloy headstud brooch variant, of Roman dating (AD 75 to AD 200). Around 75% of the brooch remains, the spring, pin and part of the catch plate are missing, along with some of the decorative elements, presumed lost in antiquity. On the dark brown/ beige sherd, the hard-fired fabric has a gritty surface with frequent small inclusions as well as a small area of original burnishing on the outside. The other sherd has an off-white outer surface with a light grey/ blue fill. This sherd has not been fired as extensively as the other, but it also has a gritty fabric with frequent small inclusions.

A wheel-thrown base (and side) sherd of probable Mancetter-Hartshill mortaria (54mm x 56mm with a thickness of 11.5mm at the edge of the base; weight: 45.79g). The sherd has a fine-textured and powdery fabric with an off-white core and inclusions of fine quartz and occasional red-brown and white particles grit. An incomplete glass counter or gaming piece of probable Roman to Early Medieval date (c. AD 200-800) The counter is an oval shape in plan, and domed in profile. The body of the counter is made from a dark blue to black glass, which has an applied border of white glass. Within the border, at intervals, there are small blobs of applied white glass as decoration. The base of the counter has an irregular spiral, as if formed during manufacture of the counter.
