An incomplete copper alooy double-looped buckle dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1550-1650). The buckle consists of a sub-rectangular frame with lozenge-shaped knops at opposing outer edges of the frame. The bar is flush with the frame and has trefoil-shaped moulding at either end where the bar joins the frame. The pin is no longer present. The reverse is undecorated. The brooch has a slight bend making it appear slightly U-shaped in profile. A similar example can be seen in Whitehead (1996: 65) no. 402. The frame is a double loop sub-rectangular shape with moulded decoration. Each coner has a trefoil shape protruding the outer edge. Each loop has a decorative knop on the outer edge. The moulded decoration is scroll-like. The central bar is trapezoidal shape in cross section. The pin is cast with a ridge as decoration towards the curl, which attaches the pin to the strap bar. The reverse is undecorated. The surface is a dark brown colour which is slightly roughened.

The frame is a double loop symmetrical shape with moulded decoration on the loop. This decoration is a sub-lozenge shape in plan with 'V' shaped grooves. In plan the frame is a sub-trapezoidal shape. The sides and loop are sub-triangular shape in cross section. The edge opposite the moulded decoration on the loop is slightly thickened and rounded and slightly longer eat each terminal than the rest of the frame.
