An incomplete silver Roman denarius of Divus Marcus Aurelius (161-180), struck under Commodus, c.AD 180 (Reece period 9). Reverse: [CONSE]CRATIO, An Eagle standing right on a globe, head turned left. Mint of Rome. As BMC p. 692, no. 20; RIC III, p. 398, no. 273. Half of the coin is missing, perhaps as a result of deliberate cutting or from post-depositional damage.
