AN incomplete copper alloy probable pin of probable Late Post medieval to Early Modern dating (1700 to 1900). The pin consists of a square sectioned shank with a circular head. The head has a circular hole, with an internal diameter of 3.5 mm. Threaded onto the pin, beneath the head is an incomplete piece of pressed decorative copper alloy metal. A Post Medieval to modern silver spoon dating to after AD 1750. The spoon has an oval shaped bowl and the stem is narrow at the bowl end then expands and flares to a rounded end. The initials 'H.E', probably represent the owner's initials are inscribed at the rounded end of the stem. On the opposing side of the spoon located on the narrowest part of the spoon are the stamped marks of a lion passant within a shield and also a double headed axe shape. An incomplete copper alloy Irish halfcrown of James II (AD 1685 to AD 1691), issued as part of the 'Brass Money' or 'Gunmoney' coinage, in AD 1690 (March) at either the Dublin or Limerick mint. Spink, p168, no 6579. Diameter: 31.8 mm Thickness: 2.7 mm Weight: 8.4 g These were official tokens issued in Ireland when James was attempting to recover the English throne and and were supposed to be exchanged for silver coins of equivalent value. They were made from old cannon, bells and scrap metal. James failed in his attempt and the coins were never exchanged.

The seal was probably part of a four part seal, as neither a rivet or a hole are present on the remaining part of the seal. One circular disc and an connecting strip are present. The rest is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. A crushed cast copper alloy circular terminal or cap with a lion's head displayed in high relief on the upper surface. The artefact has been bent backwards at both sides. The features of the lion's head are still quite clear. A crudely incised fringe appears around the outer edge of the artefact which seems to depict the mane. The eyes are also crudely incised with prominent and slightly arched brows above. The nose is prominent and extends out from the face to a worn and snubbed point. The buckle frame is sub-rectangular in plan with a recessed strap bar, an ovoid knop on the loop. The knop is decorated with two 'V' shaped grooves. From the profile view the sides of the frames are slightly waisted in the centre. Around the strap bar there is iron corrosion, therefore presumably it was the pin. The surface of the frame corroded.
