A fragment of Late Bronze Age cast copper alloy blade, possibly of Ewart Park type, dating from c. 1000 to 800 BC. The blade fragment has a surviving length of 64.39mm, with a surviving width of 33.23mm across the top break, and 26.18mm across the lower break. It is broadly trapezoid in plan and is lenticular in cross-section. On one blade face there is evidence of a midrib approximately 12.0mm wide. A complete cast copper alloy thimble of Medieval to Post Medieval date (c.AD 1350-1500). The heavy-duty thimble is conical in shape with a base diameter of 19.8mm and 20.8mm high and 1.5mm thick. The surface is covered in drilled or punched indentions that spiral up towards the apex. The apex is decorated with a solid diamond shape with slightly concave sides an incised starburst pattern. A c.3.5mm circumferential border runs around the bottom. The surface is a dark green patina and weighs 8.90g.
