Gold finger ring with a slightly misshapen hoop, which broadens at the shoulders to meet the bezel. The bezel is comprised of a rectangular red glass to imitate a precious stone, in a rectangular setting. Arched decoration surrounds the setting. The bezel of this ring has close parallels with 2004 T485 (see Treasure Annual Report 2004, no.369), but this ring is a 19th-century imitation of a medieval-style ring. Therefore, this is classed as not Treasure.

Treasure case : 2007 T559 A small gold decorated disc. Small gold decorated disc. The gold circular disc was bent over itself so that only approximately two thirds of the original form remained flat. A further smaller distortion was evident at the edge of the disc. There were three concentric rings of circular traces on the disc. These comprised 22 circular traces, 11 circular traces and finally 5 circular traces in the centre. There are few scratches on the objects and no other observable decorations. A medieval finger ring, hollow cast, with a roughly oval aperture at the bezel. The back of the bezel is open so that the stone it once held would have been in contact with the wearer's skin. Treasure case : 2007 T178 A metal object of unusual form, consisting of a central cylinder, which is hollow, though sealed at both ends. Each end is decorated with a band of cabling or rope-work. Entwined around the cylinder is a knot of twisted wires contained within a cabled border. The object is gold, but of indeterminate date. Dimensions: length 17 mm, width 14 mm. As the find can not be securely dated to pre-1707 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.

Date: 14th - 15th century A fragment of a medieval gold badge or mount, now damaged and incomplete. On one side, a standing robed figure cradling a baby probably represents the Virgin and Child. The reverse side is difficult to interpret, but may represent a vase decorated with a cross, with what may be foliage radiating from it. The edges of the badge are engraved with fluting, and may once have included stitching holes, for attaching to clothing or as a hat badge.
