Object type: UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT
Broad period: POST MEDIEVAL
County: Cambridgeshire
Workflow stage: Published Find published
Coarse coiled silver-coloured ring of quadrangular section, widening in the middle and tapering at the end with small finials. This puzzling object is undiagnostic, as it is too coarse for an earring and too small for a nosering for an animal. Analysis results reveal that is made of 97% silver. I find it hard to place or date and would suggest that it is likely to be of fairly recent manufacture.
