Two iron blades and possibly another implement for a folding knife, retained between fragmentary flat plain copper alloy side plates of thickness 0.7mm by long rivets – whether one or two is now uncertain. A flat oval plate with faint traces of cross-hatching marks the end of the knife handle. Side plates of bone or ivory would have been secured outside the copper plates which remain and would have butted up to the end plate. Lead window came fragment. A short length of cast H-section window came with a trapped fragment of dark degraded glass at one end on one side. Patinated. This came would have permitted the setting of two small adjacent panes. The glass is reverting to its constituent ingredients, which is a feature of a medieval ‘forest’ glass made using potash, rather than the more robust soda glasses of earlier and later times. An incomplete cast copper-alloy spherical animal bell (crotal) of Post-medieval date (AD 1500-1650). It is missing one half of its lower hemisphere. The bell comprises two hemispherical domes with a raised circumferential join. The upper hemisphere has two circular sound holes (c.5.3mm diameter) with a cast integral rectangular loop projecting from the top between them. The upper edges of this loop are bevelled  while the hole is rectangular (c.7.2mm by 6.8mm). The lower hemisphere has a long, wide sound slit with circular holes at the ends. An incomplete copper alloy Roman brooch of Langton Down type dating to the late Iron Age or early Roman period, c. 25-60 AD. Missing most of the arms and spring, pin, much of the bow, the foot and catchplate. The bow has a lenticular cross section and meets the hinge in a semi-circular sectioned head. The arms are cylindrical but incomplete and retain a fragment of a copper alloy spring. No decoration is evident.

A small, copper alloy model of a quadruped with a long tail, possibly a lioness, leopard or similar. It is missing most of its very thin legs.
