A circular mount, probably for attachment to the inside of a medieval wooden drinking bowl known as a mazer. The mount comprises a thin sheet disc with a stout central rivet on the back, inserted through a hole in the mount and flat at both ends. The mount appears to have die-punched decoration which comprises a central four-leaf motif within a cross-hatched field and a pelleted frame. Outside this is a raised thin and thick circular frame then another frame of raised pellets.
