Grave goods accompanying hoard of 4 third century coins in an inhumation from the Colchester St Johns Abbey site (IARCH-D7D9C2). The coins were placed on a large terra sigillata plater. Crummy et al. 1993 includes a catalogue of the pottery vessels by R P Symonds and C Going, with the following: "Form type: P 835; IRB 137. Part of large plate, sigillata form Dr 32, probably from Rheinzabern. Rim diameter 285 mm. Antonine." This would seem to suggest that the plate is older than the coins, which dated to AD 260-271.
