Prehistoric notched flint flake The flake appears to be core rejuvenation flake and is cortical with remnants surviving near the distal end. Near the distal end on the opposite face is a retouched notch (13mm long). The flint is patinated pale grey and the notch appears to cut through the patination, implying secondary use of the flake.

A loop-headed ringed pin, with slightly pitted, stripped surface and golden colour (typical of some beach finds). The ring has a dark corrosion layer on the surface, remnants of which also survive on the shaft. A late medieval to post-medieval copper-alloy knife handle, probably of 16th-century date or slightly earlier. The knife is of scale-tang type, with two copper-alloy scale plates riveted to the integral iron tang. The iron blade of the knife has broken towards its start. Two piece copper alloy harness pendant with an interior swivelling sexfoil pendant, probably of Late Medieval date. The surface of the pendant has been lost and no traces of gilding survive. Cast biconical decorated lead spindle whorl. Spindle whorls are difficult to date, but the location of this find in the vicinity of a Medieval site and other Medieval finds may suggest a Medieval or early Post Medieval date. The whorl is decorated with a number of raised dots near the rim of each face (11 and 13). The surface is eroded, but there is a suggestion of low radiating lines along the face through the dots. Gilded buckle comprising of a trapezoidal frame with folded sheet plate of Medieval date, possibly 14th century. The outside edge of the frame is ‘V’ shaped and extends slightly beyond the frame sides and is also more substantial than the rest of the frame. There is a low notch for the now missing pin, which was of iron. The folded sheet plate is rectangular with a rounded inside edge of the plate. The plate has a slot for the pin and is recessed for the frame. The single attachment rivet is still present near the inside edge of the plate. Gilding survives on both the frame and plate.
