A very small fragment of cast lead alloy, most probably from the base of a pilgrims ampulla of medieval date (AD 1200-1450). The fragment is irregular in plan and profile. It comprises a small section of the upper face and lower curved edge of the artefact. The face is decorated with curvilinear ribs whose design extends onto the external edge and represents the shell of St James - Patron Saint of Pilgrims. The opposite face is lost. An incomplete cast copper-alloy linch pin terminal of later Iron Age or early Roman date, -150 BC - AD 150. The linch pin terminal is a tapered cylindrical shape being circular in cross section - in broad terms it can be described as 'vase' shaped. The base of the terminal is a disc that supports the body of the terminal on its upper face while its lower face reveals the corroded remains of the copper alloy projection being broken flush to the base. A copper alloy coin weight of probable 15th century - late medieval date (1412-1464). The coin weight was probably used to weigh a full gold noble. It is circular in plan having been abraded in the ploughsoil . The front face of the weight has a single mast ship with a single lis (probably) to the left of the mast and a lion passant to the right. There are no marks on the hull. An incomplete cast copper alloy, single loop buckle cast with an integral plate, dating from the medieval period c. AD 1250 - 1400. Only the plate remains as the frame of the buckle is lost due to old damage. In form the buckle is very small and would originally have had an oval frame.
