Post medieval copper alloy saddle pommel of 16th or 17th century date The pommel is fragmentary, represented by an half, now distorted (with a length of 55.6 mm and a weight of 21.3g). The pommel was of two-piece construction, soldered across its midsection. The domed pommel is hollow and of sub-circular section (with a slightly flattened diameter of 25mm, an internal diameter of 22mm and is up to 2.0mm thick).
