Handle fragment of a Medieval jug. It has broken at both ends and is sub-rectangular in plan. It has an irregular oval shaped cross section. There is a small hollow running through the centre of the handle, it was probably made by rolling a piece of clay together and the hole has been left. It has a light orange fabric on the outside with a grey interior. The difference in colour is to do with oxidation in the kiln. There are some very small fragments of green glaze remaining. On the outside face of the handle are rectangular hollows pressed in as decoration.
