Copper alloy nib from a Post-Medieval pen, probably 15/16th century in date. It is incomplete, and slightly bent. It has a Y shaped cross section with 3 ribs, one of these has broken. This point would have led to a thin handle. A more complete example has been recorded on the database as DOR-173638.

Lead alloy phallic figurine probably dating to the Roman period. The figure is very roughly cast and is very stylised with simple circular indented eyes with eyebrows, virtually no nose and an indented line for a mouth.. The figure has a flat stomach and the upper body appears to have the remains of a tunic with damage to the hem and the lower half is naked with a very exaggerated erect phallus. The figure is 60cm long, 40cm wide and the weight is 93.7g. The figure has similarities with LEIC-C96B33 although it is much larger.

Cast lead-alloy medal celebrating marriage dating from the post-medieval period, i.e. the 17th century or, more likely, later as it could be a British copy of the earlier German marriage medal dating from the 17th century (see blow). An inscribed stone dating to the Early-Medieval period. The stone is sub-trapezoidal in plan and rectangular in cross-section. It is incomplete, the edges are worn and it now has a greyish white patina. The current extremity measurements of the stone are 15.5 cm (height), 23 cm (length) and 7 cm (thickness). The foot retains remnants of a black patina, possibly from sooting or carbon deposit. Possible date range from c1500 to c1900 AD. A Post Medieval cast lead or lead alloy pistol shot dating from c1600 to c1850 AD. The shot has a slight depression on one facet, probably from impact with something soft. There is no casting sprue or seam & the ball has a light white patina indicating a high lead content. The diameter is 12.79mm, and weight 11.9g.

Copper alloy hooked object of unknown use, probably post medieval (c1500 to c1800 AD) and probably a component of a larger object. It is now in three pieces. The leaf shaped hook & the shank decorated with a simple interlace motif, which though broken in two, survives in its full length. The decorated face is toward the inside & the single discernable attachment point is on the 'leaf'. There are remains of a rivet & iron concretion on the 'leaf' bit. A fine grained sandstone cobble which has been used as a whetstone on three faces, of unknown date, Bronze Age onwards (2350 BC - AD 1900). The stone is fine grained and is a pale yellow grey colour. It is rectangular in plan, sub-rectangular in cross-section and has rounded ends. One long face is extremely worn; polished and concave. The two neighbouring long faces are also polished, but not as much. It is 140.7mm long, 52.5mm wide and 43mm thick. 612g.

Post Medieval lead alloy leonine mount. It is quite heavily worn and was found with three other similar objects. The outer face depicts a three dimensional lion's face rendered in a neo Classical or Roman manner. The rear is flat with the remnants of iron mounting or fastening points top and bottom. Probably dates to between c1500 and c1900 AD The diameter is 31mm, thickness 11mm, and the weight 61.60g. Similar objects on the database include LEIC-D84C96 and WMID-A5FDE6.
