A body sherd from a medieval to early post-medieval (AD c.1300-c.1600) Midlands Purple Ware vessel (Julie Edwards pers comm). The fabric is hard, coarse and purple-brown in colour. There are many tiny gritty inclusions. The outer surface has a brownish colour, whilst the inner surface is redder. The sherd is wheel thrown.

Mesolithic to Bronze age date (9000-1000BC) tertiary flake, most likely to be towards the later end of this date range (Ron Cowell pers comm). The dorsal surface is slightly convex. The ventral surface has a clear bulb of percussion and a small striking platform. Ripple marks (concordial fracture) is clearly visible on the ventral surface. The distal end shows signs of use around the edge but no obvious retouch (Ron Cowell pers comm). Dimensions: length: 23.42mm; width: 24.52mm; thickness: 4.35mm; weight: 2.5g

An incomplete copper alloy pastry jigger dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1600-1800). The object is comprised of only the wheel of the instrument, the handle is missing. The wheel is roughly circular in shape with a serrated edge. Both faces have a grooved surface of repeating lines that radiate from the centre. The centre present some iron staining indicative of the attachment rivets to secure the wheel to the handle. The object has a dark green patina. A complete copper alloy token dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1700-1800). It is probably a "Druid" penny issued by the Parys Mining Company, dating to the 18th Century (c.AD 1786-1792). Obverse: Illegible Reverse: Swirling script in the centre, (probably PMCo) with an indistinct date above it. A copper alloy sub-annular double looped buckle dating from the post medieval period (c.AD 1650-1720). The buckle has an oval frame with a D-shaped section, and a strap bar through the centre. The pin is missing. The frame is undecorated and has a bright green patina. Dimensions: Length 28.05mm; width 19.82mm; thickness 1.33mm; weight 1.47g Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead (2003: 48), see no.278 which is dated to 1650-1720.

An incomplete copper alloy object, possibly a crossbow bolt (quarrel) dating to the medieval period (c.AD 1300-1600). The object consists of a socket and a solid head. The socket is round and conical in shape, it has an incomplete circular mouth. At the the tapered end of the socket is the solid bolt head which is square in section and tapers to a point. The object has a smooth light brown patina with pitting on the surface.
