An incomplete copper alloy trumpet brooch of Roman date (c.75-175). Mackreth (2011:85) No 5212, type 1.3a2. The Brooch has a rounded head, on the reverse is which is where the pin would have been attached, all that remains of this is a sub rectangular projection. The curved bow projects downwards from the rounded head and has three raised bands, the largest of which being the central band. Below the lowest band there is a break. The brooch has developed a green patina.
