201 Aldin Grange pottery fragments. Of the 201 fragments, 41 are diagnostic, including 20 rim sherds. Aldin Grange pottery was produced in the mid-14th to mid-15th century in what is now Bearpark Civil Parish. Evidence for medieval pottery manufacture in Durham county is not prolific, with Aldin Grange representing one of few relatively large-scale pottery works.

Cast copper-alloy belt fastener complete with one loop. The fastener is serpent shaped with a head at either end. There is moulded decoration on all sides including the facial features and scales covering both necks. In the centre where the two necks join there is a band with leaf decoration to either side. The loop is 19.11mm in diameter.

A cast copper-alloy double-framed buckle of early post-Medieval date. Each frame is D-shaped in plan, with a widening of the outer frame which bears three incised lines as decoration. In section, the frames are triangular. The central cross bar, however, is square in section. The buckle is bent outward from the crossbar, so that in profile it is V-shaped. The pin is missing.

A cast buckle of Post Medival date. The buckle has a circular frame with a cross bar across the centre. The frame is decorated on its surface with what looks like twisted wire/rope but is actually cast integrally with the buckle. Similar to find No. NCL-8FB396 as it appears that its manufacturing has not been finished - found in the same area.

A late Bronze Age hoard. 1. Spearhead blade fragment. The upper part of a probable leaf-shaped blade with convex edges. The break is corroded. The midrib is round in section, but none of the socket survives. The hollowed edge bevels are fairly broad. Length: 73 mm; width: 33 mm; thickness: 13.5 mm; weight 41.9 g. 2. Bugle-shaped fitting. Complete, two-part bugle-shaped fitting, the two parts being fused together by corrosion. A decorated, copper-alloy buckle plate of the 13th-early 14th centuries. The buckle plate is rectangular in plan and made from a single sheet of copper alloy, but missing about 20% of it in the lower lefthand corner. There are two circular rivet holes near the right edge of the plate, and there is a remainder of one of two hinges on the left edge of the buckle plate. A flint drill of the early Neolithic period. The drill is sub-triangular in plan with a wide base and an elongated shank that forms the drill bit. One edge of the drill and its tip bear traces of pressure-flaked retouch, along with one bottom edge of the base. The flint is grey in colour with milky spots.

A cast copper-alloy possible strap slide or some other belt fitting of the Post-Medieval period. The fitting is rectangular in plan, with slightly rounded ends, and C-shaped in profile. The outside face of the object is decorated with a raised wavy line reminiscent of a snake, with raised semi-circular decoration emerging inward from the edges with short raised lines running between the 'snake' and edge decoration. The two shanks, set perpendicular to the main plate of the fitting at each end are D-shaped in section and indicate break-damage and possible traces of soldering.

A cast copper-alloy strap mount of the Post-Medieval period. The mount is a stepped domed, with a raised ring-shaped stud at the peak of the dome. The underside has two hooked shanks set opposite each other from the rim of the dome. Leather is still held in place by the shanks.
